18 years and counting

Something to think about

20% of small businesses fail in their first year, 30% of small businesses fail in their second year, and 50% of small businesses fail after five years in business. Finally, 70% of small business owners fail in their 10th year in business. fundera.com/blog

Something to be thankful for

Brindlee Mountain has survived and thrived for 18 years, beating the odds. As a company, we do not take that for granted but give thanks. There is nothing to brag about, nothing to shout about, but every reason to give thanks.

On the eve of this our 18th anniversary, our company president sent out this email to the entire company.

Team Brindlee,
18 years ago was a Saturday night - I went to bed beyond excited that my first ever firetruck was going to arrive the next morning before Church. Mom and I got up early and went to Arab and met the 18 wheeler at Coker Tractor where they had a ramp. Seth Sullivan and Jeff Clark came to help us unload the truck. It was great to hear the Cat 3208 fire up and see it come off the truck. Hard to believe that was 18 years ago. We have unloaded a lot more firetrucks since then. God has done and continues to do something really amazing at Brindlee Mountain. I am thankful to Him for that, and unbelievably grateful for each of you who make it happen day in and day out. It is overwhelming to think about how much I love you and how much I love this company.
Happy Anniversary!

in Christ,

James F. Wessel

We don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds our future. We will continue to give thanks for the idea of this company planted in a 27-year-old young man. Our prayer is we never take for granted the blessings we know come from the One who planted the idea. It is our goal to always look to Him for direction and give thanks to Him for success.
