In southern California on a blistering hot July day, in 1944, a very recognizable Christmas song was written.  One of the writers said he was not thinking about writing a song but thought if he could immerse himself in winter he could cool off. That's the surroundings that birthed "The Christmas Song."

So if a Christmas song can be written in the summer we can think about Christmas while the weather is still warm here in Alabama.

There are over 60 days till Christmas. Have you made your wish list? Surely someone has.

Sixty days will go by fast and December 25 will arrive soon.

But, December 2 will arrive even faster, 23 days faster. That's the day Brindlee will celebrate Christmas as a company family. All of us and our families celebrating Christmas together.

Go find your calendar now and make sure you have reserved the evening of December 2 at the north campus.

The Nat King Cole Trio was the first to record "The Christmas Song" in 1946 but it was his 1961 recording that is considered the definitive. Enjoy the video and maybe it will get you thinking cool thoughts.
