Three Times Family

In one day, on three separate occasions, three different employees were overheard saying, "I consider this place and these people I work with family."

What makes someone say, "the people I work with are family?"

There is no-one who knows you more intimately than family.

Family" sees how you live, what you eat, the clothes laying on your closet floor. They also know when you are happy and have experienced when your anger meter begins to rise.

If you work with someone for a long time, they may see you more during the week than your family. So they witness you at your best and…

…well they know you.

Most of the time, "family" will accept our behavior and mood's ups and downs because they care about us. However, suppose a behavior becomes a barrier to the relationship or a tool that harms you or others. In that case, "family" will step in and hold the person accountable, helping them discover and resolve the source of tension.

That is precisely how we want to treat everyone here at Brindlee. Our goal is to love everyone for who they are, a unique individual, realizing no two people are alike, nor will they embrace or act on any situation in the same manner.

Just as "family," we believe in

  • you the individual and their uniqueness

  • each person's value as a human being

  • celebrating with you

  • measuring you against your potential

  • holding you accountable to our values and expected behaviors

  • celebrating you for being you

A loving family wants all these things for you, and so do we.

"Family" also is there for you when things are not going well, no matter what 'well' represents. As a company, we promise to walk with you during those times. And we have witnessed a culture of employees who also live that out.

A member of our team recently made this statement:

"Brindlee is a safe place for people to be themselves and find confidence, strength, and security through the mess of life. I know this first-hand.”

When we hear "the people I work with are like "family," let it be because we care for you and want the best for you.
