A successful candidate will understand accounting principles including accounts payable and receivable; working closely with the CFO to complete monthly and year-end closings.

  • JOB SUMMARY

    • The staff accountant will perform general accounting work to include month-end closing procedures, reconciling general ledger accounts, and variance reporting. The staff accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions including receiving Purchase Orders, entering AP, billing customers, reconciling WIP accounts and General Ledger accounts.

  • SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Strong Understanding of GAAP

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite application

    • QuickBooks experience a plus

    • Ability to retain and source job-specific information

  • Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred)

  • Experience

    • A minimum of three years of general accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties and essential core competencies.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS LEADING TO SUCCESS

    • Asset Capitalization Policy adherence

    • Preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, Analyzing and reconciling expense and revenue accounts.

    • General understanding of best practices for receivable tracking, fixed asset allocation, internal asset reporting.

    • Performing all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

    • Assist with special projects as requested by CFO and Senior Accounting Staff

    • Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and good record-keeping skills

    • Full time, salary; occasional travel to trade shows
