Aerial Training On The Mountain
"Brindlee Mountain is committed to the professional development of our highly skilled technicians and the continuing education of EVT mechanics in the greater North Alabama region. To that end, Brindlee is pleased to announce that our friends Brian Brown and Mike Adams of FDSOA will be facilitating a 4 day EVT F5 Aerial Maintenance Fire Apparatus Course at Brindlee Mountain's North Campus October 28th through October 31st. The class will cover current NFPA 1911 Standards for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing, and Retirement of In-Service Aerial Fire Apparatus, manufacturer maintenance practices, and an overview of differing types of design and construction of aerial devices. The course will also include a hands-on portion for the student by delving into an aerial device.
The goal of this class is not only to prepare the student to pass the EVT F5 test, but to help technicians develop a mindset that allows them to perform better in their role of servicing and repairing aerial trucks.
On Friday, November 1, an EVT testing opportunity will be held at the same location following a high-level instructor-led overview of EVT F1 and F2. All are welcome to participate in the EVT testing event but individuals must pre-register through www.evtcc.org in advance. If you are interested in attending this course, please reach out to Nate at 256-270-0718 or nate@firetruckmall.com"
